FlightScope Mevo+ (Gen 2): Room Requirements & Exact Placement

FlightScope · Doppler radar · typical price $2,499 · Updated June 2026

The FlightScope Mevo+ (Gen 2) is a Doppler-radar unit that sits on the floor 8–8 ft behind the ball, looking down the line of flight. Add the recommended 8–10 ft of ball-to-screen distance and you arrive at the manufacturer's 16–17 ft room-depth recommendation (19 ft is a realistic working minimum with a buffer behind the unit). Keep metal pipes, frames, and rotating fans out of the radar's view — they add noise to spin readings. For indoor accuracy, especially driver spin, use Titleist RCT balls.
